You might be very pleased to know that I am at a bar and I am drinking a small glass of beer that I fetched and paid for all by myself. I have politely said no to a very nice gentleman, and also to a less nice person. There also happens to be a man in the corner that keeps staring at me, but he hasn't bought me a drink yet, which is fine because I am enjoying my beer - it tastes of raspberries!
Yeah. I drink whiskey but I can handle ordering when I get there.
[In the middle of his work Terrance slips his phone into his pocket and stands. He doesn't bother to clean up or to do anything about what he's working on. He simply leaves it there knowing that no one will touch it. He clicks his tongue looking over at his backpack. If this is anything like last time he isn't going to bring extra weight with him.
Now he just needs to leave before Tony notices. He usually doesn't leave until much later and knowing how nosey the older man is there is no getting out of his questions.]
[ Yeah, that wasn't going to fly under the radar. Tony knew Terrance's schedule pretty well. That he was just going to attempt to up and go in the middle of something and not even say why he was leaving was not happening.
He didn't look up from the work he was doing for the time being, knowing his voice alone would make Terrance stop. ]
[ He had to repeat it to let it sink in. For a second he wondered who on earth would make Terrance their designated driver before remembering that A. not everyone there used cars and B. it probably had something to do with that girl he liked. ]
Didn't take you for the promise type. Who's this involve?
[Terrance glances down at his phone before looking back at Tony.]
I'm not so I need to go.
[He's going to turn and head out. He isn't particularly fast but he knows what Sonico is like at bars and he doesn't want to leave her there alone for long. At the door he pauses and glances back at Tony debating if he wants to say more to his boss.
He does actually like his job.] I'll finish and clean up tomorrow.
[It is earlier in the day and his work isn't quite finished. He walks as if he's going to the bathroom, leaving his backpack and most of his other things at the office. He has his wallet which is all he needs and himself. It'll work for now.
It takes him a half hour to get there and when he arrives he isn't wearing a smile. Sonico is alone which is probably a good thing since he feels like he'd use any excuse to punch someone. He slides in next to her and gives her a nod before leaning back in his seat.]
*This time, the difference is that Sonico isn't sitting with lots of glasses in front of her. In fact, there's no alcohol at all. Instead, she has a milkshake and a rather large basket of chicken strips, which she pushes towards Terrance in offering. She had been wearing a big smile when he entered, but when she saw that he looked rather unhappy, her owm faded too.
Actually, Sonico just wanted to see him and talk to him, but at the moment she didn't feel she could say that. Something was wrong, and she tried to figure out what it was*
Did I...call you too early? Is it..the promise? Does it only count if I'm drinking alcohol, even though I'm in a bar?
[Terrance swipes a chicken finger and quickly devours it. He doesn't actually remember the last time he's eaten. Skipping meals has become a common practice for him.]
Huh? [He clearly doesn't realize how pissed he looks.] You're fine.
[He licks his fingers and then thinks about ordering himself a drink. He just wants to feel numb.]
*Sonico takes another bit of chicken and starts to eat it in a slightly different way to how Terrance has. Instead, she pulls it into tiny pieces and licks it from her fingers*
You...don't seem fine, though. If you're not happy to be here then you don't need to stay.
*Sonico watches Terrance carefully, a little taken aback by the way in which he looked at her. Slowly, she wriggles somewhat closer to him, and cleans her hands on a napkin*
Terrance? Is something wrong?
*Suddenly she seems all business, completely focused on him and ignoring her dinner, hands resting on her lap*
*Sonico watches him a moment more before bowing her head and looking at her hands for a moment. She couldn't quite say why, but his comment upset her a little. But she swallows and looks back up at him, head cocked to the side in concern*
Then maybe you just look more unhappy than usual. Like maybe something extra is bothering you.
[Terrance rolls his shoulders in a shrug but says nothing more. When a waitress comes by he waves her over and orders a double whiskey dry. He's hoping that Sonico will simply get tired of asking him and start on another topic.]

Nice,
Same bar as before?

Let me know if I can get you something to drink, and I'll see you soon?

I'm needed at the bar.

Answer the question, Terrance. You can't just leave during work hours without giving me a viable reason.
[Action]
Fine. I'm meeting Sonico at a bar.
[Mostly so she doesn't hurt herself.]
[Action]
I get it now. You have a date and you didn't want to admit it because you think I'll torment you about it. Am I right?

[GOD WHY CAN'T TONY LEAVE HIM ALONE.]
I'm leaving.

And who the hell is going to stop you from being a dolt?
[ Because. ]
And I'm following you.

Hi there!
Keeping you to our promise as promised!
I'm at the usual bar, and it would be nice if you came to talk, even just for a little while!

I'm not happy anywhere Sonico.
[He hopes he might be happy here. If he's to find that feeling with anyone it'd be Sonico or not at all.]

He really hates talking about himself.]
Why would anything be wrong?

I don't mean to sound rude, but you look...
*He looks like she just wants to give him a hug, but she has a feeling that would be a step in the wrong direction*
You look rather unhappy.

[He wipes his hands on his pants, no longer caring about the mess.]
I'm always unhappy Sonico.
