Hello!

You might be very pleased to know that I am at a bar and I am drinking a small glass of beer that I fetched and paid for all by myself. I have politely said no to a very nice gentleman, and also to a less nice person. There also happens to be a man in the corner that keeps staring at me, but he hasn't bought me a drink yet, which is fine because I am enjoying my beer - it tastes of raspberries!

Yeah. I drink whiskey but I can handle ordering when I get there.

[In the middle of his work Terrance slips his phone into his pocket and stands. He doesn't bother to clean up or to do anything about what he's working on. He simply leaves it there knowing that no one will touch it. He clicks his tongue looking over at his backpack. If this is anything like last time he isn't going to bring extra weight with him.

Now he just needs to leave before Tony notices. He usually doesn't leave until much later and knowing how nosey the older man is there is no getting out of his questions.]

[ Yeah, that wasn't going to fly under the radar. Tony knew Terrance's schedule pretty well. That he was just going to attempt to up and go in the middle of something and not even say why he was leaving was not happening.

He didn't look up from the work he was doing for the time being, knowing his voice alone would make Terrance stop. ]

Just where do you think you're going?

[Terrance pauses and sighs.]

I'm needed at the bar.

[He wants to leave so he's going to get to the point quickly.]

It was a promise.

You're... needed at a bar.

[ He had to repeat it to let it sink in. For a second he wondered who on earth would make Terrance their designated driver before remembering that A. not everyone there used cars and B. it probably had something to do with that girl he liked. ]

Didn't take you for the promise type. Who's this involve?

[Terrance glances down at his phone before looking back at Tony.]

I'm not so I need to go.

[He's going to turn and head out. He isn't particularly fast but he knows what Sonico is like at bars and he doesn't want to leave her there alone for long. At the door he pauses and glances back at Tony debating if he wants to say more to his boss.

He does actually like his job.] I'll finish and clean up tomorrow.

[ Alright. Tony's own project would have to wait. He stood from his work area and crossed his arms, a tilt to his head. ]

Answer the question, Terrance. You can't just leave during work hours without giving me a viable reason.

[Terrance groans.]

Fine. I'm meeting Sonico at a bar.

[Mostly so she doesn't hurt herself.]

[ Tony bit his lip to contain a smirk but it failed spectacularly. ]

I get it now. You have a date and you didn't want to admit it because you think I'll torment you about it. Am I right?

[Action]

It's not a date. It's to stop her from being a dolt.

[GOD WHY CAN'T TONY LEAVE HIM ALONE.]

I'm leaving.

[ Tony threw his arms up, clearly exasperated. ]

And who the hell is going to stop you from being a dolt?

[ Because. ]

And I'm following you.

Then get off your arse.

[Terrance opens the door and steps outside. At this point he doesn't care. He needs to get there and talking with Tony is just wasting time. After you see someone drunk it's hard to want to leave them to their own devices.

His pace is quick and he heads to the familiar bar and the familiar booth where he'll see that familiar mass of pink hair.]

*Sure enough, there she is, sitting with a large pair of headphones on, quietly singing along to whatever she is listening to - something upbeat. Her small bottle of beer is nearly empty and she takes another sip. Through a straw. Because she is drinking raspberry beer from the bottle through a straw*

[ Tony had opened his mouth to protest that he already was off his arse but Terrance was heading out before he could even talk back. He honestly probably could have looked better to be going to a bar but it was what it was. Stark charm never failed anyway.

He kept stride with the younger man but ended up daydreaming somewhere along the way and almost walked into his back when he stopped. Tony looked to the side and past Terrance, trying to spot anyone who looked like they'd have a name like Sonico.

Okay, that hadn't been hard. ]

That her?

[ He smirked a bit. If he was right he could see why Terrance would have a thing for her. ]

Shut up.

[He can read the damn look on Tony's face. He walks up to the booth and slides in the empty seat next to Sonico.]

Hey, my boss followed me.

[Terrance points at Tony before pointing at her drink.]

First one?

*Sonico turns and smiles at Terrance as he heads over, taking off her headphones as he gets into the booth beside her*

Hi! And yes, this is the first one.

*Then she looks over the booth at Tony and bows towards him in greeting*

Hello, I'm Sonico, and it's nice to meet you.

*Then the fact that Tony's his boss clicks, and her expression is quite horrified*

Oh no! He was at work, wasn't he? I'm sorry, I had no idea. If I'd known he was working then I wouldn"t have asked him to come out. My apologies, sir.

[ Terrance's simple but blunt response made it hard for Tony not to grin even more. He turned to the side and snerked before gathering the composure to approach the pair. He arched an eyebrow at her choice of greeting, but found it to be charming. She seemed to be a complete contrast to Terrance based on her manners. He raised his hand in a brief wave before tilting it in a way that was meant to dismiss her worry. ]

Hey. It's cool. We were about done for the day anyway. [ Well, Tony wasn't but he could just make up for it later. A few drinks sounded appealing. ] I appreciate the respect but just Tony is good.

Stop worrying Sonico.

[He's not ignoring Tony but he wants her to feel as if she can text him whenever. Terrance rather she be safe than he not be bothered at work. Like Tony, he keeps weird hours and does work to get things done more than to put in so many hours. He has deadlines he's set for himself in his head and as long as he stays on track he's fine.

Tony's never really gotten on his case for getting things done anyway.]

Are you going to sit or catch flies?

[Terrance is looking up at Tony while trying to flag down someone to put in a drink order. If Tony's staying he's going to need to drink... a lot.]

Alright! Tony it is!

*Sonico smiles at him but her expression soon turns to one of bemusement as she watches and listens to the two of them. They work together, yes, but she's trying to decide if they actually like each other. But then, why would they go for a drink together if they didn't?

When Terrance makes that catching flies comment, Sonico can't help but giggle quietly - not at Tony as such, but because he has said the same thing to Sonico before*

You guys just got here from work, so why don't I get the drinks and you two can sit and relax for a moment?

[ He smiled in return and shot the girl a thumbs up, but once Terrance opened his mouth again he shot his gaze in that direction and rolled his eyes before taking a seat at the booth. Would Sonico mind ending up between the two of them? Hopefully not. ]

You know what? I think Terrance should get them. You like getting things for your boss and pretty girls, right Terrance?

[ Yeah. He was scheming. ]

[Terrance glares at Tony before looking back at Sonico.]

What another one of those?

[She points to her drink before moving to stand. Even if she wants to go he'll have to stand anyway so he sees no point in arguing. He also realizes that Tony probably did that on purpose the god damn bastard.]

*Sonico smiles and nods in reply, then glances down at her hands in her lap. After the way Tony put it, Sonico silently wonders if this is something they've done before - going round bars and buying girls drink, since that's what Terrance likes, according to Tony*

If you don't mind, could I have a straw with it?

Why not just reuse that straw?

[He turns and heads off towards the bar with his hands shoved in his pocket. He'd hoped to flag down a waitress because as a guy it's hard to get service at the bar.]
